Pulverizing of Pharmaceuticals

Pulverization of active substances, waste materials, homeopathic substances, vitamins and biotechnical products is performed in aseptic clean rooms. This requires a system technology that calls for special care- and quality demands.

PALLMANN supplies machines and systems that correspond to the demands and regulations of the industry such as GMP, FDA, manufacturers’ norms etc.

For this requirement, Turbo Mills, type REF as well as Pin Mills, Type PST and PPST with one or two rotating pin discs, equipped with special seals, are used. The housings of these machines are free of dead space. In order to guarantee easy cleaning of the interior, the surfaces are ground smooth and polished.

The systems can be cleaned with hot water and sterilized with saturated steam, whereby the single system components meet the demands of both CIP and SIP.

The ORIGINAL PALLMANN Universal Mill, type PXL 18 is used in many field of applications of the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industry. Due to the unique variety of combination possibilities, this mill can fulfill the most different processing functions such as deagglomeration, disintegration, defiberization, coarse-, fine- and superfine pulverization up to 20µm.  The range of application covers all soft to medium hard materials with a product hardness up to 3 according to the Mohs scale.
