Cutting of all types of plastic waste such as purgings, pipes, profiles, plastic bottles , film, fibers, carpet, etc.

Method of Operation

Installation of the granulator is on the production floor or in a pit.

Material is fed into the granulator by belt conveyor or by dumping the content of a box directly into the feed hopper of the machine. Once the feed hopper is filled and the feed hopper cover closed the hydraulic flap opens the cutting chamber and the automatic cutting cycle of the machine begins.

A hydraulic cylinder moves a pusher backward and forward. The pusher feeds the material into the cutting chamber of the granulator. The movement of the pusher is automatically load controlled by the main motor. In case of an overload the pusher stops and retreats a short distance, then starts its forward movement again. When the pusher is fully extended and positioned at the front of the hopper close to the rotor it will reverse to the rear of the hopper and start a new forward cycle. These cycles repeat each other until the feed hopper is empty

Fine material gets discharged through the screen into a pneumatic discharge system. Bottom discharge onto a mechanical conveyor or into a bin is available.

An open, alternating slant cut rotor is standard. Bearings are outboard and no grease can enter the grinding chamber.

The screen has a large open area; the standard hole size of the screen is 12 mm ( 1/2"). Other screen sizes are available. The material produced is ideal for feeding densifiers, Plast-Agglomerators and extruders with ram feeders.
